Samrat Ashoka

 Ashoka a brief sketch 



Ashoka was the grandson of  Chandragupta Maurya  who was the founder of the Mauryan dynasty 
and the son of the ruler Bindusar. Ashoka came to the throne in the year 269 BC. he is a king who is known for his goodwill and love for his people. he is also a believer in the buddha he is the person behind the spread of the buddha religion in India and China. he is also popular for his rock pillar found in various parts of India which gives us an idea of the Artists in that period.

The change in the Ashoka  empire 

After eight years of his rule, Ashoka started a war against the Kalinga empire (now Odisha ) . this war led to a change in the mind of Ashoka because of the blood he takes and the lives he take have given him uncertainty in his life  . and After the war, Ashoka decided to gave up on violence which turns out him into Buddhism. Ashoka was the main spreader of Buddhism in various parts of the world country as India, China,   Bhutan, and  Tibet. Ashoka own son a monk carried Buddhism to Sri Lanka where it is a major religion. during  Ashoka rule his he develop his empire to the point that there is no in the world to make a fight the the maurya dynasty
